Stocks ended the day mixed yesterday. The Dow was higher by .19 percent at
12,400.03. The Nasdaq fell just lower by .01 percent finishing at 2789 and the
S&P 500 finished above breakeven by .03 percent at 1332.87. Mondays session was
relatively uneventful and trading volume was light. Investors will be mulling
over Bernankes comments as the second day of trading this week moves forward.
For today, no other major news is expected to post. The market will be primarily
influenced by overseas reports posting this day. A key earning report this day
will stem from WD-40. Wednesday, investors will look to the agricultural product
producer, Monsato, to post positive earnings data. Another key earning report
this day will stem from Bed Bath and Beyond. On Thursday, the Labor Department
will post weekly jobless claims as usual. Also on Thursday, the Federal Reserve
will release data relating to February consumer credit analysis. In addition to
these two reports, investors will be waiting to see if the European Central Bank
increases its benchmark interest rate in an attempt to reduce inflationary
potentials. The Commerce Department will post wholesale inventory data for
February to end the trading week. Economists are anticipating that this report
will post a moderate increase over the wholesale inventory report data from
January. Author: Frank Matto
