Bunch of y’all email me Friday questioning me why swap silver for gold now? Go to www.the-moneychanger.com and read article linked to homepage, “Why Silver Will Outperform Gold 400%.” Here’s further explanation. Pay close attention, test on Tuesday: With gold silver ratio at 70:1, you buy 70 oz. of silver. Wise choice. When the gold silver ratio hits 35:1, you swap 70 oz. of silver for TWO, not one, ounces of gold. Twice as many as if you’d bought gold in first place. No market, internet blowhards notwithstanding, shoots straight to the moon. The gold silver ratio will see 47 or 50 before it sees 16, although it will EVENTUALLY drop below 16. Ratio will, internet blowhards notwithstanding, correct. Will correct AT LEAST to where it fell out of long triangle at 47.5, maybe 50% of total fall from 84.3 to 35, so back to 59.65. When ratio reaches 47.5, you swap your two oz. of gold for 95 oz. of silver. You now have 25 more oz (35.7%) than if you had just lain around in silver the whole time. Then you do it again when the ratio falls again. TODAY’S MARKETS: GOLD and SILVER PRICES today just kept on powering up the gold price added $7.00 on Comex to close at $1,492.30. Silver gained 39.1c and ended Comex at 4295.7c but in the aftermarket is trading 4327.5c. Dear Ones, one thing people learn young drinking is that even when you have a full load in your belly, you cannot actually fly or perform miracles, no matter how you feel. This is fun, this is exciting, but this is moving to a sharp peak by mid-May, most likely. Yet before gold lies the minimum target, $1,525. The silver price I expect to hit $44 at the least, before the pain commences. I still recommend y’all swap gold for silver while you have time and before the reaction sets in. Something’s wrong, something’s right, and there’s a whiff of skunk on the wind. US DOLLAR INDEX rose 61 basis points today (0.78%) to clear 75 and land at 75.493. Might be a reversal. Rise out of Friday low looks rally-ish. Euro, which we have long suspected was merely a shell of a shell-game, tanked 1.08% today to end at 1.4228. CLEAR island reversal, signaling copious downside, and closed below 20 DMA. Big fall. Yen today fell 0.61% to 82.441/$ (121.3c/100Y). Sniff of skunk on wind belongs not merely to the polecat US dollar, but also to Palladium and Platinum. Platinum fell 11.50 today and it fell Friday. Palladium fell a muscular $35 today, very stout wound when you begin at $769.70. Friends, this ought not be. Silver and Gold boogeying ought to take their friends Platinum and Palladium alone. Why are they standing around the edges of the dance floor, wallflowering? Bad juju. STOCKS took an ice-water shower in reality today and fell clean back to 12,200 support and below the 20DMA and nearly below the 50 DMA.

Y’all pay attention now: this won’t be elegant, but it will be fast.

Bunch of y’all email me Friday questioning me why swap silver for gold now? Go to www.the-moneychanger.com and read article linked to homepage, “Why Silver Will Outperform Gold 400%.” Here’s further explanation. Pay close attention, test on Tuesday:

With gold silver ratio at 70:1, you buy 70 oz. of silver. Wise choice.

When the gold silver ratio hits 35:1, you swap 70 oz. of silver for TWO, not one,

ounces of gold. Twice as many as if you’d bought gold in first place.

No market, internet blowhards notwithstanding, shoots straight

to the moon. The gold silver ratio will see 47 or 50 before it sees 16,

although it will EVENTUALLY drop below 16.

Ratio will, internet blowhards notwithstanding, correct. Will correct

AT LEAST to where it fell out of long triangle at 47.5, maybe

50% of total fall from 84.3 to 35, so back to 59.65.

When ratio reaches 47.5, you swap your two oz. of gold for

95 oz. of silver. You now have 25 more oz (35.7%) than if

you had just lain around in silver the whole time.

Then you do it again when the ratio falls again.

TODAY’S MARKETS:

GOLD and SILVER PRICES today just kept on powering up the gold price added $7.00 on Comex to close at $1,492.30.

Bad juju.

great deliberation, that he could never draw his sword against his native state.
Argentum et aurum comparenda sunt -- -- Gold and silver must be bought. -

Moneychanger. May not be republished in any form, including electronically,
without our express permission. To avoid confusion, please remember that the
comments above have a very short time horizon. Always invest with the primary
trend. Gold's primary trend is up, targeting at least $3,130.00; silver's
primary is up targeting 16:1 gold/silver ratio or $195.66; stocks' primary trend
is down, targeting Dow under 2,900 and worth only one ounce of gold; US$ or
US$-denominated assets, primary trend down; real estate in a bubble, primary
trend way down. Whenever I write "Stay out of stocks" readers inevitably ask,
"Do you mean precious metals mining stocks, too?" No, I don't.

Your daily option s trading wrap up. Sentiment The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost almost 250 points this morning after S&P cut US' credit rating, concerns about a rate hike in China, the European Debt Crisis and an uninspiring profit report from Citigroup (NYSE: C ). But stock market averages have moved well off session lows with  the Dow down 162 points and the tech-heavy NASDAQ down 38. The CBOE Volatility Index (CBOE: VIX ) rallied up to a morning high of 19.07 and was recently up 1.98 to 17.30. Trading in the options market is active, with 8 million calls and 7.3 million puts traded. Bullish Flow Akamai (NASDAQ: AKAM ) with relative strength and increasing call volume. Shares are up $1.42 to $39.51 and 25,000 calls traded, which is four times the norm and three times the days put volume. AKAM May 45 Calls are the most actives with 4,500 traded (54% on the Ask). May 40 and 41 calls are busy as well. No news on the stock. The activity hints at possible chatter or is possibly a play on earnings, due April 27 (after market). Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS ) loses a nickel to $44.08 and one investor pays 63 cents for the LVS May 47 – 50 Call Spread , 30,000 times in midday trading. It might roll a position down in strikes, as open interest in the May 50 calls is 36,851 and the second largest position in the name. The contract saw interest on April 7 as well, when nearly 20,000 traded and investors were apparently rolling out of April 45 calls. The bullish trading might be a play on earnings, due early-May. Bearish Flow Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO ) slides to a new 52-week low and is down 36 cents to $16.67. In options action, one investor bought a 20,000-contract block of CSCO June 15 Puts at 21 cents each. Hearing it was tied to stock at $16.63 (on 17 delta) and is possibly closing as open interest is 27,270. Total volume in Cisco is heavy, with 55,000 calls and 60,000 puts changed hands so far. Implied Volatility Mover CBOE Volatility Index (CBOE: VIX ) has sprung back to life after S&P offered investors a Monday morning surprise and revised its US credit rating to Negative. The news came thirty minutes before the opening bell on Wall Street and stock index futures, which had already fallen into the red in pre-market action, sold off sharply. The table was then set for increased volatility at the open. VIX is up 3.34 points to 18.66 and VIX May 40 Calls on the volatility index are seeing some early action. 2,607 traded. The Apr 19s, which expire Wednesday, have traded almost 2000 contracts. Increasing volume is also being seen in Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ ), Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD ), and Sara Lee (NYSE: SLE ). Stocks Slide, Nobody Blames Banks

Lost in the official history that Monday's broad stock selloff was the result of Standard & Poor's decision before the opening bell to lower its oulook in U.S. debt to negative is the fact that it didn't look like such a great day for stocks to begin with. Before the S&P announcement, the mood was darkened by several developments – talk that Greek debt would have to be restructured (yes, that hasn't gone away) and another of those beat-on-earnings-light-on-revenue quarterly reports from Citigroup (NYSE: C ), which followed disappointing reports last week from JPMorgan Chase (NYSE: JPM ) and Bank of America (NYSE: BAC ). Could it be that after the tepidness apparent in the reports from that Holy Trinity that investors have become wise to the idea that nothing could be further from the truth than the notion that financial stocks are ready to help propel the broader market higher? In fact, the opposite seems more likely to be true. With the SPDR Financial Select Sector (NYSE:XLF) exchange-traded fund falling 1.3% on Monday, mega-bank stocks are essentially flat in 2011 – not to mention being down 4.6% since April 6. By day's end, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had lost 140 points to 12,202, the Nasdaq fell 29 points to 2735 and the S&P 500 slipped 15 points to 1305. Funny things those small-cap-driven speculative rallies – they always seem to have their days of reckoning. As economist Dean Baker pointed out, it also seems strange to lay the selloff at S&P's feat considering investors, presumably the same one who trade stocks, decided after the initial "shock" that they ultimately wanted to snap up dollars (as compared to euros) and 10-year Treasuries at a lower yield (now 3.37%). (As an aside, Baker makes the solid point that S&P is a little short on credibility these days, or at least should be. This, after all, is the outfit that rated subprime-backed securities as investment grade, while giving Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, and Enron top ratings until those companies fell off a cliff). Of course, there is always gold and silver, which quietly pushed their way to yet another all-time and 31-year-high, respectively). Silver is now up more than 60% since late January – and S&P had nothing to do with it.

pays 63 cents for the LVS May 47 – 50 Call Spread , 30,000 times in midday

minutes before the opening bell on Wall Street and stock index futures, which

table was then set for increased volatility at the open. VIX is up 3.34 points
