Monthly Dividend Stocks

XCSFDHG46767FHJHJF

dow2664 There are plenty of benefits to owning stocks that pay their dividends monthly. According to the Excel list that was just updated by WallStreetNewsNetwork.com, there are over 200 different companies that pay dividends monthly , many of which have high yields. Technically, these stocks are real estate investment trusts, oil income trusts, closed end bond funds, and closed end income stock funds, which pay dividends every month. Advantages to receiving monthly dividends as opposed to quarterly or annual dividend stocks are that the invested capital is returned faster, compounding takes place quicker, and there is usually less price volatility of the investment. Also, many of monthly dividend investments pay dividends that are tax free. An example is the MFS Multimarket Income Trust (MMT) which pays a yield of 7.80%. The stock trades at a 9.2% to net asset value. The company, which has been around since 1987, has a management fee of 0.82%. Gas Natural Inc. (EGAS), formerly known as Energy, Inc., is a distributor of natural gas in Montana, Wyoming, North Carolina, and Maine. It was founded in 1909. The stock pays a yield of 4.6% and carries a price to earnings ratio of 12.7. Baytex Energy (BTE) is an investment trust which generates income from petroleum and natural gas properties. It generates a yield of 4.2%, and has been paying monthly since 2006. The company trades at 22.4 times forward earnings. Realty Income Corp. (O), with the great single letter stock ticker symbol, yields 5.0%. This real estate investment trust which specializes in commercial retail real estate, has been around since 1969. The stock trades at 16.7 times forward earnings. Calamos Convertible & High Income (CHY) has a decent yield of 6.9%. However, the management fee is a bit on the high side at 1.13%. This CEF, founded in 2003, invests in high yield fixed income securities and convertible securities. Provident Energy Trust (PVX) is a Canadian income trust which generates a yield of 6.1% through the marketing of natural gas liquids. It was founded in 1993. Canada’s new legislation which taxes trust income goes into effect this year. This would tax the trusts at the corporate level in addition to the shareholder level. However, many analysts believe that this taxation is build into the price of these Canadian trusts. Use caution choosing these investments. Avoid the ones with high management fees, watch out for the ones with limited liquidity and which trade very few shares on a daily basis, and if you invest in the municipal bond closed end funds, make sure you know the consequences of the Alternative Minimum Tax. You also want to find the ones that trade at a discount to net asset value, and avoid the ones using excessive leverage. To see the latest updated list of over 225 monthly dividend stocks , including many that have yields of 8% or more, go to WallStreetNewsNetwork.com. Remember, very high yields may not be sustainable. McDonald’s Menu Prices to Increase Thanks to Inflation

XCSFDHG46767FHJHJF

tdp2664 InvestorPlace Americans already are feeling the impact of higher gas prices. But the next time they have a Big Mac attack, consumers may have to suffer the same sticker shock they now get when they pull up to the pump. That's because McDonalds Corp.’s (NYSE: MCD ) is seeing inflation push up the cost of ingredients like Big Mac beef, cheeseburger cheese McCafe coffee beans and all things in between. As a result, the world's largest fast food chain said it will raise prices to keep up with food inflation, that includes rising beef and dairy prices. The price increases won’t be steep, at least not in the United States. Sensitive to the higher prices Americans are facing at the gasoline pump, grocery store and everywhere else they have to open their wallets, McDonalds said it will absorb some of the initial costs by gradually raising prices to recoup the 4% to 4.5% cost of food increases. Inflation Watch : 5 economic issues dooming Obama to 1 term Nonetheless, the price hikes come on top of a 1% increase McDonalds added in March in the United States and Europe and it has the king of fast food worried customers might decide to make their own burgers. In announcing the price increase, McDonald’s Chief Executive Jim Skinner noted that customers are "pinched everywhere. They should not suffer the same fate at McDonald’s.” The Golden Arches isn’t alone grappling with higher food prices. Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG ) saw higher food costs eat into margins. McDonald’s admits that its strategy to gradually raise prices will sacrifice some margin growth in the short term, but believes it will preserve revenue growth in the long term. McDonalds has had an edge on other fast food restaurants when it comes to raising prices because it attracts a higher income customer. That has helped the chain post seven years of positive comparable sales growth in every part of the world in which it operates. But the newest test will come during the summer when gasoline prices are expected to average around $4.00 a gallon nationwide. While no one is looking forward to paying more for a Big Mac or McCafe, Americans will still fare better than Asian consumers. Soaring food prices have forced families to cut back on meat and vegetables, and is eating up to one-half of the household income of some poor families in Indonesia, India and China. Americans, however, won't be thinking of that when they decide whether or not to drive through or drive by McDonalds' drive-thru. As of this writing, Cynthia Wilson did not own a position in any of the stocks named here.

Royal Wedding Roundup: Wedding dresses of royals past; Kate will not 'obey'

Dress We're just a week away from the big day, and more details of the wedding have started to leak. In this edition of Royal Wedding Roundup, we take a look at royal weddings past, present and future.

Item 1: Put Kate's dress in context. The Telegraph has an excellent video that shows six recently restored royal bridal gowns, dating back to the ankle length gown Princess Charlotte wore in 1816. Historic Royal Palaces senior curator Dr. Joanna Marschner talks you through each of the six dresses, explaining what it was made of, who wore it and why it was so special. Another bonus to the video: Marschner has a delightfully understated manner, which is a welcome relief from all the know-it-alls blabbing about wedding nonsense on TV.

Item 2: Kate will “love, honor, comfort and keep” but not “obey.” Kate will deviate from tradition in her wedding vows, promising to “love, honor, comfort and keep” her husband, but not to “obey” him. Traditionally royals have used the vows in the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, which requires women to promise to “love, cherish and obey.” Princess Diana, who was just 20 when she was married, also left out the “obey” in her vows, but Sarah Ferguson and Sophie Rhys-Jones used the traditional language in their subsequent weddings. According to a poll on the Daily Mail's website, 75% of readers think Kate has made the right choice.

Item 3: And on to the next one: The wedding hasn't even happened yet, but for some people, the nuptials of Kate and William are so yesterday. What to do? How about speculate on what Prince Harry's wedding might be like. That's just what Time magazine has done in a feature called Royal Wedding Redux: Who Will Marry Harry? In journalism, it is always good to stay ahead of the curve.
