US Stocks Alert! (PAG, KNX, RRR)

Penske Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE:PAG) dropped 3.07% to $13.25. The company said on Friday that it earned $30.3 million, or 33 cents a share in the third quarter, compared to $27.7 million, or 30 cents a share a year ago. Analysts polled by FactSet Research had expected the company to earn 33 cents a share on revenue of $2.64 billion. The stock went down more than 14% year-to-date. Knight Transportation (NYSE:KNX) advanced 0.22% to $18.22. This week, the company posted a quarterly profit that missed estimates by a penny, hurt mainly by higher salary and fuel expenses. For the third quarter, net income was $16.7 million, or 20 cents a share, compared with $13.1 million, or 16 cents a share, a year ago. Analysts on average had expected earnings of 21 cents a share, before special items, on revenue of $189.2 million, according to Thomson Reuters. Over the past 52-week, the stock had traded within the range of $15.78-$22.38. At Friday`s closing market price, the market capitalization of the company stood at $1.52 billion. RSC Holdings Inc. (NYSE:RRR) fell 6.80% and closed at $8.09. Earlier this week, the company announced financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. Total revenue was $334 million and rental revenue was $292 million, compared with $316 million and $272 million, respectively, for the same period last year. The company reported a third quarter net loss of $6 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $6 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, for the third quarter 2009. Over the past 52-week, the stock had traded within the range of $5.90-$9.65.
