Today’s Stock Market Trends and News of Osama Bin Laden’s Death; Today’s Dow Jones Industrial Stock Futures Jump

President Obama announced that U.S. forces have killed Osama Bin Laden. The
President reported last evening that Osama Bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaida and
a terrorist responsible for killing thousands around the world, was dead.
President Obama relayed that Bin Laden had openly declared war on The United
States, killing innocent people and threatening to kill more. Bin Laden was the
leader of Al-Qaida and mastermind behind the September 11th attacks on the
United States. The President relayed that he ordered a team of American
soldiers, Navy Seals and CIA paramilitary, to infiltrate a compound to extract
Osama Bin Laden. A firefight ensued and Bin Laden was killed. No American
soldiers were harmed in this fight and Bin Ladens body was extracted from the
compound successfully. Current reports relay that Bin Ladens body was later
buried at sea. Crowds around the world celebrate this news and at ground zero in
New York, hundreds of Americans are gathering and waving American flags and
celebrating the news. Investors on Wall Street observed stock futures notch
higher after the news and commodity prices drop lower. Specifically, oil prices,
gold prices and silver prices were all observed to drop lower after word of Bin
Ladens death spread. Stock futures for the Nasdaq, S&P 500 and the Dow Jones
Industrial Average all jumped higher this morning prior to opening bell for the
