Today’s Stock Market Dow Jones Industrial Average; Nasdaq; S&P 500 Review; Stock Market Money Profit Invest News Overview

The stock market index composites today will have to work harder to make up for
the negative results that posted to end the last session close in the United
States. The Nasdaq ended lower yesterday by .47 percent to close at 2828.23. The
S&P 500 ended the last session lower by .69 percent to finish the day at
1347.32. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed lower by .66 percent to close
the day at 12723.58. The thrust of negativity yesterday in the market stemmed
from poor economic reports that applied negative pressure to index trend line
movement. Gold and silver had a poor day as well. Today, investors hope to see
the major index composites recover some of their losses. News that will guide
market action this day includes data on unemployment. Investors will get to
glimpse the Labor Departments report on weekly jobless claims on today. This
data is expected to reveal a drop in the number of weekly jobless claims
compared to the week prior. Earnings reports this day will post from companies
such as Kraft, AIG, Sara Lee and Priceline.com. Investors will wait the week to
view the Labor Departments full jobs reports due to post Friday morning. The
unemployment rate is expected to remain about the same at 8.8 percent
nationally. Constellation Energy is due to post earnings as is the Washington
