Todays DJIA Dow Jones Industrial Average DJI Index; Glencore GLCNF takes Xstrata; Dow, Nasdaq, S&P 500 Stock Market News Today

The primary indices finished green across the board last session, as did
precious metals GOLD and silver. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the
day higher by .26 percent at 12,878.20. The Nasdaq finished the session higher
by .07 percent at 2,904.08 and the S&P 500 closed higher by .20 percent at
1,347.05. All three indices finished green one day after closing red across the
board. Investors felt heightened anxiety to open this trading week due, in part,
to the ongoing eurozone debt crisis. Leaders continue to work towards a
resolution plan in Greece to avoid debt default. The deadline is now just over a
month away and the world is growing more anxious by the day. The primary indices
were able to avoid being dragged lower despite the increased concerns. Big
company news last session related to the Xstrata deal. Glencore International
GLCNF purchased Xstrata for $61.9 billion. This deal will go into the books as
the biggest mining takeover deal in history. Glencore closed the last session
negative by 4.34 percent on the day. Year to date change for Glencore
International PLC is positive by 16.89 percent. Todays Primary index Trends
