Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)'s design chief has been recognized by the British
monarchy in the New Year honours list. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Designer Given
Royal Approval Jonathan Paul Ive, a British citizen and head of Apple Inc.
(NASDAQ:AAPL)'s design team since the mid-'90s has been awarded a Knighthood
in the New Year Honours by the Queen for 'services to design and
enterprise'. Prior to this, he was awarded a Commander of the British Empire
honour in 2006 for achievements in British design and innovation. Jonathan Paul
Ive, senior vice president of industrial design at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)
said, "To be recognized with this honour is absolutely thrilling and I am both
humbled and sincerely grateful. I discovered at an early age that all I've
ever wanted to do is design. I feel enormously fortunate that I continue to be
able to design and make products with a truly remarkable group of people here at
