It has been reported that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will become the world's
largest PC maker in 2012. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) To Become Worlds Biggest PC
Maker According to analyst firm Canalys, PC shipments will rise by about 15
percent this year and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is expected to become the
world's largest PC maker in H2 2012. Canalys Analyst Tim Coulling said,
"Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has seen its PC market share expand from 9 percent
to 15 percent in just four quarters, though iPad shipments in its core market
– the United States – are likely to come under pressure in Q4 due to the
launch of the Fire and Nook at extremely competitive price points. HP and Apple
Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will fight for top position in Q4, but Apple may have to wait
for the release of iPad 3 before it passes HP." Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)
company shares are currently standing at 369.01.
