Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) has won the AIA Worker Safety Excellence Awards of 2011. Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) Wins Safety Gong The award, given by the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) has honored the US based defense contract giant Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) for the lowest employee injury and illness rates in its aircraft manufacturing sector for 2010. Gary W. Ervin, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC)'s Aerospace Systems sector said, "We are extremely proud to be recognized for our commitment to employee safety. We’ve worked hard to establish a ‘safety culture’ based on the belief that employees are our most valuable asset." Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) shares were at 64.54 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a 3.9% change in the stock price over the past 3 months.
