Top NYSE Pre-Market Losers (OC, Sprint, PX)

Owens Corning (NYSE:OC) dropped 1.95% to $27.65 in pre market hours. The company said Wednesday its third-quarter profit fell to $58 million, or 46 cents a share, from $80 million, or 63 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Analysts polled by FactSet Research were looking for earnings of 37 cents a share, on average, with sales of $1.25 billion. For the full year, Owens Corning forecast earnings before interest and taxes, or EBIT, to be in the range of $360 million to $390 million. The 52-week range of the stock is $20.85-$37.36. The stock went up more than 8% year-to-date. Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) lost 3.98% to $4.58 in pre market trading hours. The company reported a wider third-quarter loss on 1.4% higher revenue. The losses were $911 million, or 30 cents a share, against $478 million, or 17 cents, in the year-earlier quarter. In the quarter, Sprint Nextel said in a Wednesday statement, it added a net 644,000 subscribers, more than half of them post-paid customers. In the past six months of trading sessions, the stock went up more than 12%. Shares of Praxair, Inc. (NYSE:PX) slid 0.32% to $93.20 during the pre market. The company reported third-quarter net income rose 16% to $377 million, or $1.21 a share, against $325 million, or $1.04 a share, in the year-ago period. A survey of analysts polled by FactSet Research was forecasting net income of $1.20 a share on sales of $2.56 billion. For the fourth quarter, Praxair sees diluted EPS in the range of $1.18 to $1.23, against a FactSet forecast of $1.22. For 2010, Praxair sees sales of around $10 billion, and lifted guidance for adjusted, diluted EPS to a range of $4.67 to $4.72. The 52-week range for the stock is $72.70-$94.30. The stock went up more than 15% year-to-date.
