Health care reform is a key debate topic as we approach mid-term elections and cancer research has is one of the top areas in need of funding. Specifically, Mesothelioma, is a kind of cancer linked to asbestos. In recent years there has been a significant increase in cases regarding this disease, which has led to new lawyers specializing in mesothelioma lawsuits. The cost for the overall treatment of cancer has risen almost as high as the costs necessary for the treatment of other cancers. It is difficult to determine an exact number as there may be differences in treatment plans, but the cancer therapies cost thousands of dollars per month. New rules, regulations and legal decisions are turning out every day that relate to this specific cancer and the effects are global. Relatives of those persons that have suffered from Mesothelioma have rights as well and recently, a new Bill was introduced pertaining to the relatives rights to damages. This information is vital for all to be aware of in that it can set precedent for future cases and legalities.
