coming Windows 8 operating system will provide users with two simplified methods
of recovering from a system crash or persistent computing problems without
losing their personal data, settings and Metro-style apps. Microsoft Corporation

8 to its original factory state also. Desmond Lee, a program manager on the

which translated into a design goal that represents a simple to use, predictable
and fast solution . The planned Windows 8 recovery process is much more
streamlined, less time-consuming and more accessible to a broad set of
customers. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) will offer Windows 8 OS users a
refresh option that retains their personal documents, graphics and other data,
personalized PC settings and all Metro style apps using the .appx package
format. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) cannot deterministically replace
desktop apps, as there are many installer technologies as well as custom setup
and configuration logic, of which Windows has little direct knowledge".
