The 2011 investment plan is consistent with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT)'s investments in Brazil in recent years. The company has invested an average of BRL1.2 billion per year since 2006. Marcos Samaha, the Chief Executive Officer of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) Brazil said that, “Our investment plan goes in line with the social and economic development plan of this country."
