( NASDAQ: BRCD ) is a San Jose, California-based supplier of networking equipment, including end-to-end Internet Protocol (IP)-based Ethernet networking solutions and storage area networking solutions for businesses. Brocade provides a variety of networking hardware and software products and services. Last week, Brocade , Google Inc., JDS Uniphase Corporation and Santur Corporation announced the formation of a Multi-Source Agreement (the 10X10 MSA) to establish compatible sources of low-cost, low-power, pluggable 100G optical transceivers based on 10 optical lanes at 10G. Brocade Communications Systems also announced that the Saudi Arabia based Al-Nahdi Medical Company (NMC) selected the company as its solution provider of a high-performance IP network to connect all of the company's 487 pharmacies to a centralized data center running tier-one applications. During the last trading session, the stock opened at $5.85 and closed at $5.91, 1.2% higher than the previous day.
