Early Market News: Nike Inc. (NYSE:NIKE), IBM (NYSE:IBM), Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE:KFT)

Here are several more stock briefings which could affect stocks in trading later today. The following companies should see some movement: Nike Inc. (NYSE:NIKE), IBM (NYSE:IBM), Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE:KFT). Here is a more detailed look at the news that will affect each company when trading continues. Nike Inc. (NYSE:NIKE) Nike Inc. (NYSE:NIKE)'s new 'Better World' site has begun using HTML5 to scroll towards a 'Better World'. Nike Inc. (NYSE:NIKE)'s Better World site has launched, developed (by W+K) in the much-discussed and lauded HTML5. Scrolling through the site, which includes Nike Inc. (NYSE:NIKE)'s new Free TR Fit shoes (designed with environmentally-preferred rubber) and pieces touting the role of sports in combating political unrest, homelessness, poverty and other social ills – gets you over 14,000 pixels closer to a 'Better World'. It's an altogether compelling, well-designed and informative experience. IBM (NYSE:IBM) IBM (NYSE:IBM) has predicted top 5 technologies in next 5 years. IBM (NYSE:IBM) said that better batteries and traffic jam prevention will be among next '5 hot technologies'. IBM (NYSE:IBM) has unveiled its 2010 "Next 5 in 5" list last week, which predicts which five technologies will make a significant impact in people's lives in five years' time. The company has been issuing the list every year since 2006. Some of those predictions have yet to come true, but some have been right on the mark. Paul Bloom, the chief technology officer of IBM (NYSE:IBM) Research said that, "Right now, lithium ion batteries have a negative environmental impact. At IBM, we're looking at a highly dense material that interacts with air to produce energy. We're also looking at the electronics ecosystem and trying to develop transistors that would use a fraction of the voltage." Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE:KFT) India has launched a tax probe into Kraft Food's (NYSE:KFT) Cadbury acquisition. Following a high court directive, the income tax department of the country has initiated an inquiry into Cadbury India’s takeover by US-based Kraft Food (NYSE:KFT) for alleged tax evasion and flouting of buyout norms. The court has instructed investigators to find out whether the $40-billion Kraft Food (NYSE:KFT) company is liable for taxes on its $19.6-billion acquisition. The High Court asked the government last month to complete the probe within 8 weeks. We could possibly see more movement when trading continues for Nike Inc. (NYSE:NIKE), IBM (NYSE:IBM) and Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE:KFT).
