Citing some unidentified resources, the newspaper said that HSBC Holdings plc (LON:HSBA) in Hong Kong is planning to cut down the loan amount required for the lower mortgage rate to HK$1 Million from HK$2 Million. The newspaper also reported that the newest strategy is an attempt to regain market share, for the banking giant's mortgage applications had fallen 20 percent in September.
